I'm a self taught artist mainly painting in oils and specialize in portraiture, learning (my craft) from studying the old masters. I admire many periods of art from the Renaissance through to Impressionism and delight in the romantic Pre-Raphaelites, preferring to work in a more traditional detailed style, rather than in the contemporary.
I also have a keen interest in photography and a love of our British wildlife, so occasionally paint owls, foxes and badgers.
I spend my holidays walking in the peak district close to where I used to live as a child. I enjoy and have taken commissions for people.
Each painting is original and I live in Surrey with my husband and have 2 grown up children.
