Denise Lapsley was born in Queens, New York City so is a native New Yorker.
She relocated with her family to Surrey in 1995. Her formal art career began in 1997 with Adult Art Education classes. Some of her most memorable sessions and instructors are as follows :
- Cobham: Commencing with Toney Fox; and then Margret Howker, who taught the basic skills of drawing
- Esher: Ben Dray and Tim hall, who specialized how to work with colours.
- Weybridge: Caroline Bays and Susan Relph. Both Excellent teachers, in all form of art.
- Sunbury: with Tessa Pearson. Tessa thinks and teachers out side the box.
These tutors taught an extensive variety of methods, mediums and subjects.
Denise particularly excels with Pastels and Water colour.
She has sold several paintings via Walton Art Club Exhibitions and private commissions.
Denise has a diverse interest in art and has wide talents. This is why she loves attending Walton Art club in the evenings.
The local accomplished artists are here to help her and other emerging artists.
