Joan was born locally in West Molesey and has lived in the area all her life.

Joan has never had any formal art training and joined Walton Art Club 4 years ago.

She is entirely self taught gaining much of her knowledge from members and friends at the Club.

She enjoys her weekly meetings and during half terms is often accompanied by her 11 year old Granddaughter Chloe who delights in joining in the painting evenings and is fast becoming a good artist thanks to the help many of the Club members give her.
