Betty was born in Kingston and spent her early life and schooling in Molesey.
Now married and lives in Hersham with her family, where she has been for the past 52 years.
Although she enjoyed art from a very early age she did not pursue her love of painting until some thirty odd years ago after attending Adult Education classes. Following these studies she began to receive regular commissions for her work and produced pictures of horses, cars and local scenes which have been displayed and sold all over the world.
At one point she was commissioned to do some Pen and Ink drawings which were then produced on to porcelain mugs, cups and plates for The Thames Homeless Appeal and displayed and sold in some of the top Hotels in London.
Betty has been a member of Walton Art Club for the past 25 years.
Nowadays she tends mainly to specialise in painting flower subjects in watercolour, attending meetings whenever she can, she exhibits regularly at the club annual exhibition where she still attracts buyers for her work.
